Budget Quick Facts

Meeting the needs of the whole child is the top priority of the Cumberland County Board of Education. The Board approved a budget request to send to the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners, which includes a proposed increase of $8.9 million in local funding.

The school system is requesting funding to increase the number of social workers, school counselors and school nurses to the nationally recommended average over six years and fund other strategic priorities that have been identified by our stakeholders
The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners will review CCS’ budget request and make a decision in June.
